Job Description and Responsibilities

Develop strategic relationships with potential advertisers;
Identify, qualify, and close prospects to achieve goals;
Present proposals, follow-up, and close contracts;
Accurately forecast and report on timing of future prospects and business;
Maintain communication with advertisers through in-person visits, phone calls, and emails;
Interact with production staff to facilitate production and approval process;
Maintain an active involvement in community and business organizations, including marketing events and opportunities;
Understand deadline driven business environment.

Job Skill Set and Qualifications

Prior advertising sales experience;
Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding revenue goals;
Ability to think and plan strategically;
Superior skills to create, present and implement innovative advertising sales programs;
Demonstrated expertise in wide variety of advertising sales concepts, practices and procedures;
Strong negotiation, organization, and communication skills;
Positive attitude, enthusiasm, high energy, sense of humor, team player;
Comfort working in an entrepreneurial environment;
Ability/willingness to travel locally and regionally;
BA/BS degree.
